Our Programs: We offer our Recovery Program to provide mental health services to individuals who are experiencing difficulties due to mental illness; our Dementia Specific Program that includes a day program, in-home assessments, caregiver education, mentoring and support groups; our REACH Wellness Program to meet the needs of the increasing number of socially isolated adults in our area. In addition to our program options, we provide on-site access to services that include geriatric psychiatry, primary medical care, chiropractic medicine and massage therapy. To best address the needs of those we serve, Family Alliance is committed to continued program growth.

Our Clients: Adults who are experiencing mental, physical, emotional, or social challenges that are interfering with their ability to function in their community.

Our Neighborhood: Family Alliance serves all of McHenry County, Illinois and parts of surrounding counties in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. Transportation for both day programs is available.

Our Mission: To assist mature adults in the Northern Illinois region to remain in their own homes and achieve resiliency in their communities. To promote independence by providing best-of-practice day programming, in-home and on-site mental health and dementia services and proactive caregiver support.

Our History: In 1981, Carol Louise, Executive Director and founder of Family Alliance, recognized the need for an adult day program that provided structure and socialization for the individual and respite for the caregiver. Family Alliance then began as the only adult day health care agency in McHenry County. Services were expanded to include comprehensive mental health services, dementia specific services including caregiver support groups and community education and our REACH wellness focused program. To date, we remain the only adult day health center in McHenry County.
